Reading, hearing, preaching, and
confessing the Word is central to our worship. We wrestle with
and nurture the tensions that arise from our differences, struggling
to see each other as God sees every human being: equally loved and
valued. (See our Pastor's Welcome.)
Our slightly unconventional
schedule puts worship in praise of God at
the very center of a day of education, nurture, fellowship, and
music for the whole Faith community. Communion
is celebrated the first Sunday of each month.
Our Sunday Schedule:
9:30 - 10:30 a.m. - Children's Christian Education
and Adult Nurture
Church School for
Children. Adults can start the day in fellowship, by visiting
the Coffee/Espresso Bar for conversation and "java in the Jackson
Lounge", or attend Adult Nurture.
Adult Nurture. Adults gather in an educational
forum. We are a learning community, offering growth and
knowledge for all ages. We support each other in our struggles
to learn and practice what it means to live the Gospel in our
individual and collective lives.
10:00-10:30 - Coffee
and adult fellowship in the Jackson Lounge
10:30 - 11:30 a.m. - Worship Service
Worship in the Sanctuary. Faith Church
values both the presence and the contribution of our youth and
children to our worship. Youth and children over the age of 8
are asked to worship with the congregation. Infant and child
care (through age 2) is provided all morning in the Nursery.
Children ages 3 through 7 may go to the Nursery following "A Time
for Children" during the service. Children's worship bags are
available for children who remain during worship.
Come and worship with us.
You'll appreciate what it adds to your day. Why not
this
Sunday?
