Faith Presbyterian Church is searching for a dynamic Pastor to lead a healthy, committed, progressive, diverse, and welcoming congregation to a deeper understanding of what it means to live the Christian faith and to an even more fully realized mission of what it means to be church. We seek an individual committed to excellence in preaching and teaching and to the church’s role in advancing social and economic justice in the community. Our congregation walks the walk and is looking for someone to accompany and guide us on our ongoing journey to being Faith in the City: Seeking, Standing, Serving.
Our church assessment survey data confirm that we are especially engaged, truly friendly, and open and inclusive. We hope to find a pastor who both values and reflects these qualities. We see ourselves as a learning AND doing community with solid educational offerings for children and adults and active involvement in local, regional, and international mission programs. We embrace our diverse opinions and beliefs, and intend to maintain our traditions of honest appreciation and sincere caring for one another. While we now “punch above our weight,” we imagine a future with others augmenting our congregation of people from every race, economic status, gender, age, and sexual orientation.
The Pastor Nominating Committee expects to begin reviewing applications on September 15, 2019 and will continue to accept applications until the search is successfully completed.
